Jesse Wayne Pannells was born June 19, 1957 near Monette, Arkansas to Ruby Joanne Adkins and Granville Wayne Pannells. He had many struggles throughout his life but kept a good nature and a kind heart. He was the first to smile or joke. He was understanding and kept life simple. His world revolved around his family.

He had a variety of jobs which included: factory, janitorial, police officer, fireman, farm work and ginning at the Cardwell Co-op. In his later years he retired to enjoy his love of the outdoors. He could always be found tending his garden, fishing or walking his dogs. He was very well read and passionate about music. His favorite genres were sci-fi, mystery, rock & roll and easy listening. You would always find him with a book nearby and a vinyl playing. He also enjoyed cooking. He passed at the age of 67 in St. Louis University Hospital, April 11, 2025.

His estranged children: Elisabeth Lee and Sean Lee (Beverly)

Siblings: Thomas Pannells, Carrie Pannells (David Caraway), Sarah Devine (Greg) and Larry Pannells (Carol McMillion)

Nieces and nephews: Michelle Gentry (Jerry), Ashley Quick (Joseph), Joshua Pannells (Christina) and Zachary Caraway.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Granville & Ruby Pannells, brother: Terry Pannells and father-in-law: Bradford Beasley.

A Celebration of Life memorial will be held at a later date.
