Obituary

James Walter "Dub" Hackworth, son of the late Sherman Hackworth and Geraldine (Coburn) Hackworth was born November 2, 1932 in Leachville, Arkansas and departed this life on October 27, 2018 at the age of 85 years, 11 months and 25 days. James married Helen Browning on June 6, 1959 in St. Louis, Missouri, they shared many long years of happiness together. To this union was born one daughter Nancy Ann.

Survivors include:

James is survived by and will be greatly missed by his wife Helen Hackworth of Kennett, Missouri

Two brothers: Mayford Hackworth of Malden, Missouri

Kenneth Hackworth of Newark, Arkansas

Three sisters: Shelby (Jim) Pelts of Kennett, Missouri

Shirley (Charles) Kimbrow of Hardaway, Alabama

Peggy (Tommy) Gammill of Springfield, Missouri

Brother-in-law: David (Janice) Roberts of Hardy, Arkansas

Many nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

James was preceded in death by his daughter: Nancy Ann Hackworth.

James served his country in the United States Army during the Korean war and retired from General Motors in Wentzville, Missouri.

Visitation will be 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett. Nolan Glover officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Adam Roberts, Corey Roberts, Tommy Samples, Perry Morrisett, Keith Privett and Tyson Privett.

Family request memorials may be made to the Kennett Humane Department.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett, Missouri will be in charge of the arrangements.
