James Herbert Powell, son of the late Augustus and Cara Lee Pearson Powell was born September 14, 1934 in Itawamba County, Mississippi and passed away November 22, 2021 at his residence in Hornersville, MO at the age of 87 years.

He married Nellie Sue Brewer June 17, 1955 in Arkansas.

One son:  Rick (Nona) Powell of Gillespie, IL

One daughter:  Debbie (Jeff) Harris of Hornersville, MO

Two grandchildren:  Kara Nolen (Dustin) of Paragould, AR

Blake Harris of Hornersville, MO

Three great grandchildren:  Roman, Micah and Ellie Nolen

Several nieces, nephews, Other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by three brothers Maxwell Oneal Powell, Harold Powell and  J.W. "Dub" Powell, and two sisters, Merlene Trefinger and Helen Albert.

Memorial Graveside service will be Friday, November 26, 2021, 1:00  P.M. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett with Rev. Paul Moore officiating.
