James Paxton, son of the late Artie and Hazel Cook Paxton, was born July 12, 1948 in Senath and passed away August 27, 2021 at his residence in Senath at the age of 73 years.

He married Barbara Paxton September 23, 1969 in Paragould, AR.  She preceded him in death January 22, 2021.

He is survived by two sons, Tracy Paxton and Timmy Paxton.

He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Mr. Paxton was a veteran, having served his country in the U.S. Army.  He also received the Purple Heart.

Graveside services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Senath Cemetery in Senath.
