James Franklin Baker, son of the late William L. Baker, Sr. and Ettie Elizabeth (Allbright) Baker was born February 11, 1924 in Dunklin County, Missouri and departed this life on April 3, 2022 at the age of 98 years, 1 month and 23 days. James married Loretta Seabaugh on January 2, 1943.

Rita Tackeberry of Kennett, Missouri

Jane Wills of Tallahassee, Florida

Five grandchildren: Christie Bell, Debbie Petersen, Monica Kuretza, Tori Braun and Jennifer Tackeberry

Eleven great grandchildren: Blake, Amelia, Esther, Robert, Chloe, Emma, Alan, Kenneth, Braeden, Haley and Nina

James was preceded in death by his brother: William L. Baker, Jr. and sister: Nancy Raines.

James was of Kennett, Missouri and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. James passed away at Piggott Community Hospital in Piggott, Arkansas.

Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend Jimmy Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Kirk Petersen, Andy Bell, Erik Braun, Jim Morgan and Brandon Kuretza. Honorary pallbearers: Brett Baker, Gaylon Rogers, Gene Felker, Mark Cannon and Eddie Shepard.
