Iva Jean Chastain Buck, we all know her as Jeanie, Mom, Mama, or ever special Mama Jean.  She was 88 years old, born on July 4, 1937 in Alabama, to Frank and Desi Chastain. She resided in Paragould, AR. where she was a member of Brookland Church of Christ. She  received her eternal reward on January 2, 2026 in Dexter, MO.

She married the love of her life, Bill Buck in 1955 and remained in that blissful union for 58 years until Bill was called to the Lord in 2013.

She had accomplished many things in her life.  Her most successful career, of these was being a manager of a condominium and Real Estate Broker in Florida. But above all her favorite and most desirable position was that of a loving wife and mother to 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 10 great grands, and 5 great great Grands. Her legacy will live on with her name being carried on with 1 daughter, 2 of her granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter.

She was a worker for the Lord, Her passion and great joy in her later years was sending medical supplies, clothes and toys to the Ukrainian mission.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband BIll Buck and beloved granddaughter Misty Buck.

She is survived b y her four children; Billie Jean Wilson, Leeann Stough, Kent Buck (Robbie) and Jeff Buck (Tina). 7 grandchildren: Carissa, Garrick, Leah, Brock, Huston, Sarah and Anna. 10 Great grandchildren, and 5 Great-great Grandkids.

Visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 1:00 pm at the McDaniel Chapel  with David Stidham officiating. Burial will follow in Lulu Cemetery in Senath, MO. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Huston Buck, Joe Smith, Garison Wilson-Cooley, Garrick Wilson, Brock Brandon and Peyton Ruddell.
