After a tremendous battle with several health issues, Harvey Alvin Sessums  (Harry)  of Cardwell, Mo passed away on December 17th, 2022 while in NHC (National Healthcare) in Kennett, Mo at the age of 82.  He was born December 7, 1940 in Leachville, Arkansas, the son of the late A.W. and  Newell Sessums.

As a young man, he joined the U.S. Army to serve his country.  Alvin, (as everyone knew him) would do anything he could to help anyone in need.  He never met a stranger, indulged in playing cards and favored his foods, especially catfish and bananas. His passion was going to George Rays, fishing and had a tremendous respect/love for his mother. He had many skills that he had mastered in his lifetime.  He was an excellent carpenter and a talented cook.  He had found his faith in the Lord and is now in his Heavenly Home.

He is preceded in death by his wife Dorma Sims-Sessums, one brother; Theodore L. Sessums, two sisters; Linda Faye Sessums-Gonser & Rose Marie Sessums-Caldwell.   He leaves behind two brothers, Orville Gene (Peggy) Sessums of Arbyrd, Donald Ray Sessums of Beech Grove, AR; and one sister Jewell Maxine Sessums-Barnes of Medon, TN.

He leaves behind his 6 children, Cindy Sessums, Rector, AR;  Tammy (John) Tarantino, Wisconsin; Cody Sessums of Huntington, W. VA; Charity  (Kevin) Meyers, Marmaduke, AR; Paulette (Thomas) Jackson of Mason, TN, Stephen Sessums Virginia; as well as 13 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. There are several nieces, nephews and extended family members that will miss him dearly.

Services are being held for Alvin on Thursday, December  22, 2022 at McDaniel Funeral Home, 112 N Main St, Senath, MO 63876.

Visitation will be at  9:00 am followed by the Funeral at 10:00 am.   Interment will be held at Monette Cemetery, Monette, AR.

Honored to serve as pallbearers:  James Greer, Tad Sessums, Brandon Sessums, Robbie Gahr,  Greg Garner and Bubba King. Honorary pallbearers are Clayton Morgan and Lonnie Dale Gibson, Jr.
