Obituary

Harold "Tink" Perkins, son of the late Harold Perkins and Evelyn (Starnes) Perkins Borders, was born July 16, 1950, in Campbell, Missouri and departed this life on Saturday, August 19, 2023,  at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, AR.  He was 73 years old.

Harold is survived by his wife of 51 years: Brenda (Milburn) Perkins of Kennett

Two daughters: Jennifer (Matt)  Rankin of Jonesboro, Ar.

Jill (Alan) Jackson of Paragould, Ar.

Four grandchildren: Madison Rankin, Reese Rankin, Camden Pritchett and Jake Pritchett

One sister: Brenda K. (Andy) McIntosh of Marble Hill, Mo

One brother: Ronald "Bo" (Mary) Perkins of Linden, MI

Brother-in-law: John Donnelly

Sister-in-law: Cheryl Perkins

A host of nieces and nephews

Other relatives and many friends.

Harold was preceded in death by his stepfather: Marion T. Borders, sister: Carolyn Sue Donnelly and brother: Jarrell Perkins.

Harold graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1972 with a BS degree in Business Administration. He was the previous owner of Perkins Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Chrysler, Plymouth, Dodge and Jeep. He was a past member of the Lions Club, Kiwanis, Kennett Indian Booster Club and  Kennett Cup Golf Tournament, raising money for the Delta Children's Home.. He was also on the Board of Directors for the Missouri Dealers Association. He was an active member of the Bootheel Antique Car Klub and loved being a part of and President of the Century Investors Stock Club.

Harold was a member of First Baptist Church in Kennett.

Harold loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He also enjoyed going to classic car shows, spending time with his family and going to Destin on vacation. He loved life and never met a stranger.

Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon Tuesday, August 22, 2023  at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 12:00 noon Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett.  Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pastor Steven Scherer officiating. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Chuck Garner, James Kulin, Aaron McIntosh, Jay Perkins, Camden Pritchett, Jake Pritchett and Terry Don Weaver.  Honorary Pallbearers: Chris Brannan, Butch Floyd, Keith Grantham, Phil Gurley, Dustin Pritchett, Daren Robertson, Dennis Robertson, Dave Schilp and Torey Tice.

Family is requesting memorials be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund  Kennett or The Kenny Roger Children's Center in Sikeston, MO.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett was in charge of the arrangements.
