Glenda  Sue  Payne, daughter of the late Henry Alfred James and Myrtice Mae (Childers) James, was born June 23, 1951, in Bragg City, Missouri and departed this life on April 2, 2024 at the age of 72 years at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Glenda married Terry Payne on June 1,1973, Terry preceded her in death January 26, 2024.

Survivors include:

Four Sons: Terry Joe (Cathy) Payne, Tim (Theresa) Payne, Tom (Helen) Payne and Dennie (Karrie) Payne

Two Daughters: Jordonaka (Roydon) Wilkins and Tammy (Jarrod) Kelly

Brother: Doyle James

Sister: Renae Montgomery

many grandchildren and great grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Glenda was preceded in death by a daughter: Sarah Payne Girdley, seven brothers: Donald, Henry, Randy, John Alfred, Gerald Lynn, Rick and Rod James and four sisters: Marie Cline, Barbara Martin, Pat Jones and Faye Blocker and grandson: Jerrod Payne.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m.to 12:00 p.m. Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 12:00 p.m. at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett. Reverend Chris Hicks officiating.  Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
