Glenda Lee Marchbanks,-McNew-Carpenter, was born March 13, 1938, to the late William Hatcher Marchbanks and Norma Lemons,-Stark- Marchbanks- Kirby and passed away August 10, 2026 in Kennett, Missouri

She is survived by her daughter: Melissa Carpenter Crews of Kennett and her sister: Rhonda Knight of Bay, AR. and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Glenda was loving and kind to everyone. She loved children, animals and watching game shows. She loved looking at old family photo's and telling stories about the past.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents that raised her: Isaac and Mary Lemmons, Mother: Norma Lemmons, Stark- Marchbanks-Kirby, father: William Hatcher Marchbanks, Brothers Sylvester Stark, JR., Jesse Stark, and Jerry Lemmons, Sisters: Virginia Marchbanks, Frances Marchbanks Work and Bettye Sue Kirby Smith Bowyer.  Husbands: George McNew and Marion Carpenter. She was preceded in death by nephew: James Smith, daughter: Loretta Ann McNew Lance and son: David Allen McNew.

Graveside services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, August 13, 2026 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Rev. Doug Clinton officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
