Geraldine Looney, age 79, of Kennett, Missouri, passed away September 23, 2023, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Geraldine was born July 17, 1944, in Maynard, Arkansas, to the late Gerald Akins and Ivern (Barnett) Akins. On December 2, 1965, Geraldine married Jerry Lee Looney, Jerry preceded her in death on November 16, 2013.

Geraldine was a RN at Dunklin County Memorial Hospital for many years.

Two Sons: John Lee Looney of Pine Bluff, AKansas

Jeffrey Lynn Looney of Atlanta, Georgia

Daughter: Sara Beth Daugherty of Kennett, Missouri

Four grandchildren: Katlyn Looney of Dallas, Texas

Joshua Looney of Virginia Beach, Virginia

Bryce Daugherty of Kennett, Missouri

Kyle Daugherty of  Kennett, Missouri

One great grandchild: Karter Boatman

Other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Chris Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Honored to serve as pallbearers: John Looney, Jeff Looney, Kyle Daugherty,, Bryce Daugherty, Bill Heinen and Jamison Barnett, Honorary pallbearer: Chris Folkes.
