Geraldine "Geri" Cumpton Casper, daughter of the late Willie Lee Cumpton and Nettie Jones Cumpton, was born September 3, 1922, in Cabot, Arkansas, and departed this life on July 25, 2022, at the age of 99 years,10 months and 22 days. Geraldine married Raymon Casper August 21, 1941. Raymon preceded her in death on June 2, 2013.

Survivors include

Daughter: Charlotte (Glen) Roberts of Olive Branch, Mississippi;

Son: Dennis (Lisa) Casper of Knoxville, Tennessee

Four grandchildren: Glen David (Robin) Roberts, II, Kristi Dawne (Curtis) Walton, Ryan Matthew (Miranda) Casper and Angela Michelle Casper.

Four great grandchildern: Henry David Roberts, Mark Gregory Roberts, Max Davis and Ian Davis.

Other relatives and many friends.

Geraldine was a member of Third Street Baptist Church, where she was very active and helped start a young children's bowling league at Ken-Lanes Bowling in Kennett, where the children could go and have fun. Geraldine and Raymon saw the movie The Wizard of Oz on their first date and went on to start collecting memorabilia of the movie.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her son: Danny Ray Casper,  three brothers: Ursel, Raymond and Willie Cumpton and two sisters: Opal Hicks and Gladys McCrary.

Visitation 10:30 a.m. to 11:00  a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2022 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Graveside Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday July 27, 2022 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend Bud Evans officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett, Missouri will be in charge of the arrangements.
