·                     Gerald Woodrow Gentry, Jr.

August 11, 1956 – May 17, 2025

Surrounded by his loving family, Gerald Woodrow Gentry, Jr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 17, 2025, at the age of 68 years, nine months, and six days.

Gerald was born on August 11, 1956, in Kennett, Missouri, to the late Gerald and Mollie (Osburn) Gentry. On August 30, 1974, he married the love of his life, Renee' Rushing, at the United Methodist Church in Senath, where they faithfully attended and raised their family in the strength and comfort of their Christian faith.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Gerald lived his life as a testimony to God's love. He and Renee' were blessed with three children: Monica Gentry (Steve Jackson) of Paragould, Arkansas; Tiffany (Mike) Williams of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and Gerald (Susan) Gentry III of Kennett, Missouri.

His legacy continues through his beloved grandchildren: Isaiah Williams (Kelsy Caswell), Daniel Williams, Kirsten Grubb (Drake Clemmer), Chandler Beaton (Hannah Corcimiglia), Thatcher Beaton, Grayson Gentry, Olivia Gentry, Jasper Gentry, Jonah Gentry, and Henry Gentry. He also leaves behind his sister, Sue (Robby) Shrum of Senath and an extra-special sister-in-law (Debi Miller), his step-mom Marie Gentry of Senath along with many other cherished relatives and friends.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Lee Gentry.

A man of quiet strength and boundless compassion, Gerald loved deeply and expressed that love in thoughtful, personal ways. He smiled often, laughed freely, and poured his heart into the people and things he cherished most. He found joy in God's creation, whether it be fishing, farming, or exploring new places with Renee' and family but his greatest joy was time spent with his family.

He was a faithful servant, a loving patriarch, and a man who lived out his faith daily through kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. His legacy is one of devotion—to God, to family, and to a life well-lived.

In honor of Gerald's special love for animals, the family requests memorial donations be made to any local humane society.

A private graveside service will be held by the family. Interment will take place in Senath.
