Gerald Woodrow Gentry, 87, of Senath passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024 at home surrounded by family.
Gerald was born February 27, 1937, in Mississippi County, Arkansas to Marshall and Edith Gentry.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Senath. His life was his testimony of faith and he lived it setting an example for his whole family. There wasn't a person who knew him that didn't think he was special. He loved farming and said it was in his blood. His hobby was work and he couldn't wait to start working in heaven. He was also a member of the Senath Cemetery Board.
To cherish his memory, he leaves behind his wife of 26 years Marie Gentry; 2 children: Gerald (Renee') Gentry, Jr.; Carla Sue (Robby) Shrum; and a daughter-in-law, Vicki Gentry all from Senath, MO; 7 grandchildren, Monica Gentry, Tiffany (Mike) Williams, Autumn Gentry, Gerald (Susan) Gentry III, Brook (Matt) Jackson, Kassie (Brandon) Harper, and Madi Shrum; 13 Great-grandchildren: Isaiah, Daniel, Kirsten, Chandler, Thatcher, Grayson, Olivia, Mollie Jo, Jasper, Jonah, Case, Ben, and Henry.
Sisters: Emily Bailey and Fay (David) Westerfield, both of Dublin, GA; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Mollie Osburn Gentry of 41 years, son: Edwin Lee Gentry, siblings: Lois West, Harold Gentry, Melvin Gentry, Brenda Moore, and James Gentry.
The funeral will be Wednesday, September 18, 12:00 noon at the Senath First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Dunavin officiating. Burial will follow in the Senath Cemetery.
The visitation will begin at 10:00 and continue until service time at 12:00.
Honored to serve as pallbearers: Randy Wiseman, Matt Harris, Jose Barrientez, Bill Harris, Steve Jackson and Mike Williams.
Honorary pallbearers: David Harris, Travis Galyean, Kenny Johnson, Russ Robinson, Jon Harris, and Terry Ross.
The family request memorials may be made to the Senath Cemetery in memory of Gerald.
