George Hoover Workman, son of the late George Dalton Workman and Bessie (Wise) Workman, was born March 26, 1929, in Fern Creek, Kentucky and departed this life on October 10, 2022 at the age of 93 years. George married Carolyn Williams December 30, 1955 in Kennett, Missouri. Carolyn preceded him in death.

Survivors:

Son: Dana (Cyndi) Workman of Collierville, Tennessee;

Daughter: Nancy (Brent) Foy of Collierville, Tennessee;

Five grandchildren: Skylar, Sutton and Satchel Workman, Mallory and Logan Foy;

Sister: Lois Workman of Fern Creek, Kentucky;

Other relatives and friends;

George was preceded in death by his sister: Marilyn Mathews.

George was of Germantown, Tennessee formerly of Kennett, Missouri and served his country in the United States Navy. George attended First United Methodist Church in Kennett prior to moving to Germantown.

Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2022 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 17, 2022 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett.  Reverend Mark Kailbourn officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Jeff Singleton, Brandon Rouse, Sutton Workman, Satchel Workman and Logan Foy. Honorary pallbearers; Omer Gaskins and Rick Jones.
