Gene Cross, son of the late Bufford Mason Cross and Cora Elizabeth (Thrasher) Cross was born April 13, 1939 in Hayti, Missouri and departed this life on December 15, 2020 at the age of 81 years. Gene married Shirley Byrd on December 7, 1957 in Hernando, Mississippi.

Dennis Cross of Wynn, Arkansas

Charles Cross of Memphis, Tennessee

Larry Wayne Cross of Memphis, Tennessee

Three sisters: Helen Gurley of Memphis, Tennessee

Clara Richardson of Decatur, Alabama

Nancy Cross of Poplar Bluff, Missouri

Gene was of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and served his country in the United States Navy. Gene was preceded in death by his son: Jimmy Cross, a grandson: Michael Mason Rose, two brothers: Donald and David Cross and two sisters: Birdie May McCollum and Shelley Banes.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, December 19, 2020 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett. Mr. Gary Shepard and Mr. Aaron Holt officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Victor Rose, Kevin Byrd, Jeff Cross, Aiden Young, Matthew Dinkins and Jeff Dollins.
