Gary Lynn Martin, age 72 of Kennett, Missouri, passed away September 19, 2023 at National Health Care in Kennett. Gary was born July 3, 1951 in Batesville, Arkansas to the late Mack Martin Sr. and Hattie Mae Grundy.

Gary was well know in Kennett, as he was an automotive mechanic at Striegel Auto Sales for many years.

His son: Gregory (Kisha) Hopkins of Wentzville, Missouri

Three grandchildren: Gregory Hopkins, Jr., Valencia Hopkins and Levi Hopkins

Two sisters: Linda (R B) Thomas Jr. of Kennett

Jaqueline (Glen) White of Kennett

Other relatives and many friends

Gary was preceded in death by five brothers: Mack Martin, Jr., James Scarbrough, Cliff Martin, Raymond Martin and Donald Martin and two sisters: Alma Anderson and Fannie Martin.

Visitation will be 12:00 noon. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 1;00 p.m. Saturday at the McDaniel Chapel. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett.  Bishop Vernis Farmer officiating. Honored to serve as pallbearers: David Hopkins, Ronnie Hopkins, Brian Martin, Tracy Martin, Michael Hopkins and Lonnie Hopkins. Honorary pallbearer: Dmarius Warren.

Repass will follow after the burial at the First Presbyterian Church  222 N. Main Street in Kennett.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
