Floyd Wayne Pitts, Sr. son of the late Henry Joyce (Davis) Pitts and Fred Lee Pitts, was born November 12, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri and departed this life on December 10, 2022 at the age of 76 years and 28 days. Floyd married Lorene Lucas November 18, 1965. Lorene preceded Floyd in death.

Survivors include:

Three sons: Floyd (Anita) Pitts, Jr. of Kennett, MO.

Rodney (Samantha) Pitts of Kennett, MO.

Frankie Pitts of Kennett, MO.

Fourteen grandchildren:

Christian Durham, Charlotte Pitts, Floyd Pitts III, William Pitts, Shelby Pitts, Brittany Pitts, Frankie Pitts, Jr. McKenzie Pitts, Daenera Pitts, Dylan Pitts, Daylee Pitts McKie, Delanie McKie, Del Jr. McKie and David McKie.

Seven great grandchildren: Hayden, Renley, Bentley, Paisley, Onveonna, Shamyia and Jordan.

One brother: Rodney Pitts of Steele, MO.

Three sisters: Levelitia Joyce Pitts-Hilderbrand of Kennett, MO., Mary Tucker-Walker and Peggy Ann Tucker both of Illinois.

Life-long friend: Judy Smith of Kennett, MO.

Floyd was preceded in death by his wife: Lorene, two daughters: Lillie and Danielle, one great grandson Waylon, two brothers; Fred Lee and Harold David Pitts and sister: Barbara Leone.

Floyd was of Kennett, Missouri having served his country for 22 years in the military. He was employed at Kennett Public Schools for 30 years, worked for Bails for 10 years and a member of the Kennett Masonic Lodge.

Visitation will be 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett. Burial will follow in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, MO. Reverend Gary Andrews officiating.
