Etolla  Annamay Benson, daughter of the late  Award Strother and Ethel (Hicks) Strother, was born February 22, 1935, in Sulphur Rock, Ark., and departed this life on December 10, 2023, at the age of 88 years, 9 months and 18 days.

Etolla married Bradley Benson on February 16, 1962, in Bragg City, Missouri. Etolla was of Kennett and a former employee of Boatmen's Bank  in Kennett for many years.

Survivors include:

Her husband: Bradley Benson of Kennett, Mo.

Son: Kurt (Angela) Benson of Paragould, Ark.

Daughter: Renee (Bryan) Teel of Paragould

Grandchildren: Ethan (Ellie) Benson and Ashton (Jordan) Lee

Two brothers: Larry Strother of Bragg City, Mo.

Jimmie Strother of Bragg City

Two sisters: Irene Jordan of Senath

Shirley Rutledge of Sikeston

Other relatives and many friends.

Etolla was preceded in death by her brother: Award Strother and sister: Geneva Young.

Etolla was a member of the West Side Church of Christ in Kennett.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett. Nolan Glover officiating.  Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Ethan Benson, Larry Strother, Bryan Teel, David Jordan, Mark Jordan and Freddy Rutledge. Honorary pallbearers: Tommy Samples, Russell Freeman and Elmer Jefferson.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
