Dorothy Mae McNew, daughter of the late Kenneth Brown and Ellen (Jackson) Brown was born May 31, 1941 in Alamo, Tennessee and departed this life on February 13, 2022 at the age of 80 years, 8 months and 13 days. Dorothy married Leon McNew on January 19, 1956.  Leon passed away June 6, 2013.

Survivors include:

Three sons: Tommy (Terry) McNew of Kennett, Missouri

Ricky McNew of Texas

Michael (Crystal) McNew of Kennett, Missouri

Four daughters: Debbie Haynie of Texas

Sharon McNamara of Clarksville, Tennessee

Peggy (Rodney) Bryant of Campbell, Missouri

Lisa (Tommy) Ross of Kennett, Missouri

Sister: Cleller McNew of Texas

Twenty seven grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren

Other relatives and many friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by one son: Danny McNew, Daughter: Vickie Jones and two brothers: Bobby Brown and Jim Brown.

Visitation will be 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend Steven Scherer officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers; Tony Parker, Evan Parker, A.J. McNamara, Jordan Poe, Michael McNew and Josh Hounihan.
