She was blessed with a special caregiver of 15 years, Susan Long as well as her precious nieces, Pat Palmer Cosby and Sharon Kennedy Hardin.

Doe, known for her quick wit, kind heart, and fun-loving spirit, dedicated her life to caring for others as a compassionate healthcare worker. She spent her 31 year career at Senath Nursing Home.

Doe found joy in spending time with her family and was known for her culinary talents as well as her gift of gab. Her famous chocolate gravy, dumplings, coconut pie, and chicken and dressing were family favorites. She always made sure there was mac and cheese on the table for her grandchildren. An avid canner, Doe was known for her Chow Chow and pickles which she made using vegetables from her garden. When visiting Dorothy, she made sure you never left empty handed. Her generous nature ensured you'd be leaving with leftovers as well as her favorite reading materials such as a Readers Digest or a well worn book. After a long visit (Doe was a talker), you'd say your goodbyes with a hug and wait for the waterworks...Doe was known to be a crier, especially when she told you "I love you" which she did often even in her final moments.

Dorothy was a member of Lulu Baptist church where she was baptized at age 12. She adored her family and leaves behind a legacy of love, laughs and cherished memories.

A service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held on July 20th,11:00 AM at Lulu Cemetery in Senath, Missouri.
