Mr. Brooks was born December 13, 1937 to Jeff and Hazel (Moser) Brooks of Senath, Missouri who preceded him in death.

He graduated from Senath High School in 1956. He married the love of his life, Jewell (Wake) Brooks on September 26, 1959. He attended Crowley's Ridge College and Arkansas State University and graduated with a BS in Education. He touched the lives of many children at Holcomb Elementary where he taught for 30 years.

Most importantly Mr. Brooks was a Christian man and a member and deacon of Third Street Baptist Church for 57 years.

He was the loving father of Mike (Betsy) Brooks of Clayton, Missouri

Great Grandpa of Livie Lancaster, Mac Harris, Van Harris, Laken Lancaster, Merrick Harris and Hudson Head.

Brother of the late Wanda (Freeman) Green, the late Vaughn (Wilma) Brooks, the late June Roberts and husband Larry Roberts, Carol (Ronnie) Morgan, Dean Miller, Mack (Jessica) Brooks, and Jane Brooks.

He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and church family.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Third Street Baptist Church in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Third Street Baptist Church in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend Bud Evans officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
