Donald Ray Murrell, son of the late Henry Baxter Murrell and Mary Manning Murrell, passed away June 28, 2026 at National Health Care in Kennett, Missouri, at  the age of  90 years,5 months and 2 days. Donald was born January 26, 1936 in Gideon, Missouri and married Betty C. Weaver who preceded him in death.

Donald served his country in the United States Army and  was retired from Emerson Electric.

Survivors include:

Daughter: Lisa Ann Watkins of Hayti, Missouri

Siblings:: Terry (Janet) Murrell, Deloris and  Kaye (Don) Neal

Grandchildren: Autumn (Michael) Watkins,  Austin (Julia) Watkins, Alexander (Shiena) Watkins and Allyson Watkins

Great grandchildren: Andrew,  Aurora, Oliver, Isabella, Carter, Sadie and Spenser Watkins.

Host of Nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his children: Tammy Sue  Murrell, Ricky Don Murrell  and Danny Lee Murrell and his siblings:: Michael, Joe, Jimmy, Carrol, J.C., Dwight and David Murrell, Dot Taylor and Wilma McHost.

Visitation will be 5:00 pm to 8:pm Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 10:00 am  Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett. Troy Alley officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial  Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
