Delbert Dean Wright, son of the late Guy and Goldie Bolen Wright, was born December 31, 1925 in Holcomb, Missouri and passed away January 15, 2022 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 96 years. He had lived at the Missouri Veteran's Home in Cape Girardeau for the past seven years.

Delbert was a decorated combat veteran of World War II, serving in the Philippines and Japan. He was very proud of his service in the military.

Survivors include:

One daughter Pat (Quinton) Luther of Holcomb, Missouri

Two sons: Wayne (Faye) Wright of Jackson, Tennessee

William (Susan) Wright of Lexington, Tennessee.

He is also survived by six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Dean Adams Wright, and four brothers, Floyd, Earl, Harold, and Winford Wright.

Delbert was a longtime employee of Emerson Electric Company.  He was an avid golfer and a former member of the Kennett Country Club.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family requests memorials may be made to the Missouri Veteran's Home Foundation in Delbert Wright's name.
