Obituary

David Duarte was born in San Antonio, Texas, and raised in the close-knit community of La Grulla, Texas. In time, he found a quiet haven in Senath, Missouri, where he peacefully passed away.

David’s life was a tapestry of kindness, generosity, and quiet strength. With a heart open to all, he never met a stranger, only friends he hadn’t yet made. Whether tending to his yard or bringing life back to something worn and rusted, David had a gift for seeing beauty in the everyday. His hands were skilled, his spirit steady, and his pride in his home and community shone through in all he did.

He is survived by his beloved mother, Josefina Guerra Duarte (96); his brother Domingo Duarte, Jr.(sisters) Maria Guadalupe Carrion and Ofilia Duarte Zarate. Lovingly remembered by his nieces and nephews: Dezi Carrion, Melanie Carrion Solis, Vanessa Carrion Murphy, and Justin Zarate; as well as his great-nieces and great-nephews, many cousins, aunts, and uncles. David also leaves behind extended family and dear friends who were part of his life’s journey in Senath, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his father, Domingo Duarte; his brother, Juan Duarte; and his nephew, Jimmy Lee Zarate.

Though David’s earthly journey has come to an end, the love he gave and the lives he touched continue to ripple softly through the hearts of those who knew him. His laughter, his stories, and his quiet wisdom remain like warm echoes woven into every act of kindness, every shared memory, and every moment touched by his gentle spirit.

He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten
