Curtis Garland Dempsey, son of the late Sam Emmett Dempsey and Flora (Blackburn) Dempsey was born December 13, 1940 in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on December 29, 2023 at the age of 83 years and 16 days.

Curtis was of Kennett and served his country in the United States Army.

Survivors include:

Brother: Doyle Dempsey of Independence, Mo.

Sisters: Helen Estes, Barbara (Jim) Brice and Brenda Hillis all of Kennett, Mo

Sister-in-law: Hazel Dempsey of  Independence, Mo.

other relatives and friends.

Curtis was preceded in death by six brothers; Emmett, Cecil, Devon, Wilburn, Wallace and Sam  Dempsey and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law:: Jack Hillis, Bill Estes, Polly Dempsey and Hannelore Dempsey.

Graveside Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 3, 2024 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri

There is no visitation.

Memorials may be made to The Children's Home in Paragould, Arkansas.
