Clettis Eugene Dees, son of the late Clarence Dees and Carrie Vanmeter Dees, was born September 03, 1935 in Steele, Missouri and passed away January 14, 2022, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas at the age of 86 years.

Eugene had a love for his family and God.  He looked forward to time spent with his two closest great-grands, Madalyn and Hoyt.  He was really looking forward to the arrivals of his newest great-grandson, Kanyon, and great-great-granddaughter.

Eugene was known as being a man strong in his faith in God and prayers that God heard.  Before he became sick, he loved fishing and going to Flea Markets, collecting various weapons, among other things.

In his younger days, he cut timber and worked in cotton gins and the farming industry, as well a being a great mechanic.  Eugene worked hard and would give anything he could to help anyone in need.

Survivors include:

One daughter:  Darlene "Pebbles" (Randy) of Maynard, AR

Three grandsons:   Benjamin (Joanna) Dees, Daniel Dees, and Michael Damron

Four granddaughters:  Erica Dees, Roberta (Tony) Locke, Carrie Bolar, and Katelyn Bowden.

13 great grand-children, two great-great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

His beloved dog, Bubba.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Clara Imogene Glasgow Dees, three sons, Daniel Eugene "Little Gene" Dees, Terry Gene Dees, Michael Everett "Mike" Dees, two brothers, Holbert and Dallas Dees, and two sisters, Genevieve Winn and Joanne Hess.

Graveside service  will be Tuesday, January 25, 2:00 P.M. at the Cardwell Cemetery with Rev. Ronnie Mansfield officiating.  The visitation will begin at 1:00  at the McDaniel Chapel in Senath.
