Clara Young, daughter of the late Matthew Vaughn and Rosie Lee (Boggess) Vaughn, was born January 29, 1935, in Deering, Missouri and departed this life on October 22, 2024, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 89 years, 8 months and 23 days.
Clara married Donnis Young in October of 1971 in Kennett. Donnis preceded her in death February 6, 1996.

Survivors include:

Two sons: Martin (Janet) Herrington of Caruthersville, Mo

Kenneth Herrington of Cape Girardeau, Mo

Three daughters: Debra Lomax of Cape Girardeau

Diana Holloway of Cape Girardeau

Donna Gail (Sherwood) Tackett of Martin, Tn

Eighteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren

Sister: Lela (Carl) Brown of Kennett

Other relatives and many friends.

Clara was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters

Graveside Services will be 2:00 pm Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett with Carl Brown officiating.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
