Charlotte Yvonne Gore, daughter of the late James Hassell Chailland and LaVennia (Rikard) Earls and step-father, A.J. Earls, was born February 23, 1943, in Caruth, Missouri and departed this life on August 25, 2022 at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 2 days. Charlotte married Paul Gore. Charlotte and Paul enjoyed 40 years of marriage. During those years, they traveled to all parts of the world, spent time with family, and had an amazing life together.
Charlotte earned her Bachelor's degree in Home Economics at Southeast Missouri State University and a Master's degree from University of Oklahoma. In 1969, she began to teach Home Economics at Naples High School. In 1975, Charlotte moved to Lely High School in Naples as one of two assistant principals. Due to her hard work, dedication, and skill, in 1980, she started a new program for the State of Florida Department of Education that trained women in non-traditional skills to enable them to acquire high paying jobs. She finished her career as the Director of the Lorenzo Walker Institute of Technology. In all she did, she was a trailblazer. She helped to pave the way for all women to professionally empower themselves.
In recent years, Charlotte continued her family's tradition of farming in the Kennett, Missouri region. This desire to continue the family's tradition was reflective of her dedication to family.
