Charles "Charlie" Ray Thompson, age 66, of Paragould, Arkansas, formerly of Cardwell,Mo  passed away on April 14, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Paragould. He was born on March 1, 1960, in Gideon, Missouri, to the late Charles "Bill" Thompson and Carl Dean McBride, and was lovingly raised by the late Hershel and Violet Thompson.

Charlie was well known for his love of telling jokes and "cutting up." With a smile always on his face and laughter close behind, he never met a stranger. Charlie had a special way of leaving a lasting impression on everyone he met, bringing joy and light into the lives of those around him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Denise Sue Thompson; one son, Brandon Ray Thompson; his siblings , Kevin Davidson (Shelley), Larry Thompson (Barbara), and Drew Thompson (Debbie);  Delia Ann Brown (Ray),Glen "Goob" McBride , and Susie Davidson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Coy Thompson (Effie), Dexter Ray Thompson (Glodene), Bobby Thompson (Margaret), James Thompson (Billie), Jimmy Thompson (Thelma), Jerry Thompson, Vera Jean Poynor (Dewayne), Sharon Kay Gum, ßand Letta Joyce.

Charlie also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, as well as extended family, in-laws, and countless friends who will dearly miss him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember Charlie's laughter, stories, and the joy he brought to so many.
