Charles Allen (Al) Purvis, son of the late Leroy and Dorotha (DePriest) Purvis, was born November 29, 1950, in Kennett, Missouri, and passed away January 4, 2025, in Little Rock, Arkansas at the age of 74 years.

He married Rosemary Vaughn on June 3, 1972.

He has two daughters Andrea Keating (Rusty) of Senath, Missouri, and Shelly Speck (Barry Parker) of Mountain Home, Arkansas.

Grandchildren:  Drake Keating of Senath, Missouri.  Cameron Speck (Chelse Wallace) of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.  Kasidy Speck (Cameron Scarlett) of Mountain Home, Arkansas.  Jarrad Keating (Casey) of Hornersville, Missouri.  Brittney Martin (Brent) of Lorado, Arkansas.

Great Grandchildren:  John, William and David Keating of Hornersville, Missouri; Bella, Bree, Alarik and Adele Martin of Lorado, Arkansas and baby Brandon Allen Speck of Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

He has one sister, Christy Chandler of Senath, Missouri.

Niece:  Wendy Stewart (Jason) of Monette, Arkansas.

Nephew:  Jason Chandler (Amber) of Senath, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Freddie Chandler and niece Misty Edmonston.

Pallbearers:  Drake Keating, Jarrad Keating, Cameron Speck, Cameron Scarlett, Jason Chandler and Brent Martin.

His funeral will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, January 7, 2025 in the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett with Reverend Kevin Swain officiating. Visitation begins at Noon and will continue until service time at 2:00 pm at McDaniel Funeral Service in Kennett.  Burial will be in Senath Cemetery.
