Carolyn Elizabeth Taylor, daughter of the late Arven Lee Walker and Esley (Edwards) Walker, was born December 17, 1942 in Gideon, Missouri and departed this life on February 13, 2024 at the age of 81 years, 1 month and 27 days.

Carolyn married John Burl Taylor on  April 23,1959 at First Church of God in Gideon, Missouri. Carolyn was a seamstress for James Kahn Department store and also a cook at the Kennett School for over 20  years.

Her husband: John Burl Taylor of Kennett

Son: Michael (Judy) Taylor of Kennett

Three grandchildren:  Ross Taylor of Malden, Christopher (Christina) Taylor of Jonesboro and Tara Taylor Mallard of Jonesboro.

Five great grandchildren: Caleb Mallard, Benjamin Taylor and Brock Taylor all of Jonesboro, Ar.

Keaton Taylor and Cordry Taylor of Malden, Mo.

Four sisters: Brenda Hancock and the late (James Hancock)

June Earnheart and the late (Ronnie Earnheart) of Malden, Mo.

Gladys (Virgil) Sparks of Caroll, Ia.

Janice (Oran) Reeves of Marshfield, Mo.

Sister-in-law: Bonnie Walker

Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother: Arlen Lee Walker

Visitation will be 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday, February 19, 2024 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be  Monday at  12:45 p.m. at the McDaniel Chapel. Scott Andrews officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
