Carl Ray Williams, son of the late Charles Hardin Williams and Bertha (Moore) Williams, was born August 25, 1932, in Nimmons, Arkansas and departed this life on June 28, 2024, at the age of 91 years, 10 months and 3 days. Carl married Barbara Jean Lemonds on June 14, 1957. Barbara preceded him in death June 2, 2018.

Carl was a self-employed accountant and served his country in the United States Army and a life time member of the Kennett Rotary Club.

Survivors include:

Daughter: Kenna (Chris) Skelton of Kennett

Two grandchildren: Mark Simmons of Atlanta, Georgia

Kellen (Kerre) Story of Kansas City, Missouri

Great grandchildren: Van, Jon, Eve and Mae Story

Nephews: Gaylon (Charray) Rogers of Jonesboro, Arkansas

Tracy (Donyta) Lemonds of Republic, Missouri

other relatives and many friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his daughter: Maria Simmons, two brothers: Gerald and Odell Williams and sister: Lois Williams Rogers

Memorials may be made to the Holcomb School Barbara Lemonds Alumni Scholarship Fund.

VIsitation will be 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the McDaniel Chapel.  Reverend Steven Scherer officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Kellen Story, Mark Simmons, Chris Skelton, Gaylon Rogers, Tracy Lemonds and John Robertson.  Kennett Rotary Club members will serve as honorary pallbearers.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
