Carl Ronald Folkes, son of the late Velmar Linn Folkes and Maybell (Taylor) Folkes was born September 5, 1943 in Cardwell, Missouri and departed this life on May 20, 2021 at the age of 77 years, 8 months and 15 days. Carl married Margaret Gurlen on December 30, 2016 in Kennett, Missouri.

Clyde Matthew Folkes of Kennett, Missouri

Daughter: Janet Lee ( Paul ) Eastburn of Jacksonville, Florida

Brother: Don Folkes of Paragould, Arkansas

Sisters: Faye Garcia of Arnold, Missouri

Janet Counts of Springfield, Missouri

Fourteen grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren

Carl was preceded in death by his son Carl "Ronnie" Folkes, II.

Visitation will be 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM Monday, May 24, 2021 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, May 24, 2021 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Missouri. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend Doug Clinton officiating.  Honored to serve as pallbearers are Ronnie Teal, Chance Teal, Dale Robertson, Jeff Bryant, Ken O'Neal and Gerald Turner.
