Brenda Jo (Neal) Duty, 80, of Arbyrd, Missouri, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 11, 1945, Brenda was the cherished daughter of the late Joe Neal and Maranda Alvena Williams. She was also preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John William and Nannie Neal; her brothers, Barry Sadler and Rickey Williams; and her beloved husband, Roger Duty, he was the love of her life and she was the love of his life.
Brenda was an extraordinary woman whose life was defined by an unparalleled work ethic, a compassionate heart, and an unwavering commitment to those she held dear. Known for her tireless dedication, she was an extremely hard worker who approached every task with determination. Her selflessness shone brightly as she always looked out for those in need, offering support and kindness to anyone who crossed her path. As a fierce defender of those she loved, Brenda's loyalty and protective spirit were a source of strength for her family and friends.
Her greatest joy was her family, particularly her two sons, Brad (Paige) Duty of Blytheville, Arkansas, and Chris (Susan) Duty of Paragould, Arkansas, and her beloved brother, Freddy (Pamela) Williams of Senath, Missouri, with whom she shared a deep and unbreakable bond. Brenda cherished and adored her grandchildren, Tanner Duty of Springfield, Missouri, Aiden (fiancée, Ayresten) Duty of Paragould, Arkansas, and Kamden Duty of Paragould, Arkansas, who were the light of her life.
In her final years, Brenda was blessed with the unwavering love and support of her dear friends, Sharon Zolman and Lonnie Gibson, Sr. Their companionship brought her comfort, love, laughter, and peace, and she could not have made it through those years without their steadfast presence. Brenda's family is eternally grateful for the care and devotion Sharon and Lonnie provided.
Brenda's legacy of hard work, compassion, and fierce love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her funeral will be Saturday, October 25, 11:00 AM, at the McDaniel Chapel in Senath with Mr. Mitchell Zolman officiating. Burial will follow in the Cardwell Cemetery. The visitation will begin at 10:00 and continue until service time at 11:00. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Randy McDaniel, Matt Jackson, Clay Harrison, Joe Taylor, Todd Boyd, and Allen Duty. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that Memorials be sent to the Children's Homes of Paragould, or that letters sharing cherished memories of Brenda be mailed to the Duty Family at 401 South 3rd, Arbyrd, MO 63821. These tributes will bring comfort and joy to her loved ones.
