Billy Boyce Hamlett, son of the late Eual Lee Hamlett and Mary Oliver Hamlett, was born December 9, 1940, in Arbyrd, Missouri and departed this life on September 23, 2025, at the age of 84 years, 9 months and 14 days.  Billy married Mariedth Lahue  on July 1, 1963, in Steele, Missouri, she preceded him in death in 2023.

Survivors include:

Two sons: Boyce Hamlett (Penny) of Kennett, MO

Keith Hamlett of Jonesboro, AR

Daughter: Melinda Smith (Charles) of Kennett

Nine grandchildren: Cortney and Scott Simpson, Chase and Jessica Smith, Dusty and Cassidy Hamlett, Magan and Milland Pikey, and Eden Hamlett.

Eight great grandchildren and one on the way.

Two Sisters: Sherry Holt (Melvin) of Arcola, MS

Connie Inklebarger (Joel) of Foristell, MO

Billy was preceded in death by three brothers: Thomas "Sonny", Bob and Ronnie Hamlett and sister Ann Cochran

Visitation will be 12:00 Noon to 2:00 pm Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm at the McDaniel Chapel with Mr. Jay Lyles officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.  Honored to serve as pallbearers: Joey, Robbie, Ronald, Dusty and Michael Hamlett and  Shane Cochran. Honorary pallbearers: Chase Smith and Scott Simpson.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
