Billy Rex Bailey

Bill was born October 9, 1932 to John Robert and Eva Myrtle (Hunt) Bailey in Cleburne County, Arkansas. He was the youngest of six children.

He married Rita Beggs in 1954. She passed away in 1983.

He died on December 2, 2024.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Emory Bailey, Hobert Bailey, Syble Stark, Geraldine Schutte and Mary Jo Dunn.

He is survived by his nephew, Carl (Kerry) Stark of Springdale, Arkansas, and his niece, Kathy Fulcher of Wilmington, North Carolina.

Bill retired from Matthews International in Searcy and was a long-time member and greeter at West Race Baptist Church.

He lived frugally. His life-long love of gardening produced many huge crops of tomatoes, which he took great pleasure in giving away. He also enjoyed buying and cracking pecans to give away, when he was unable to pick them up from the ground himself.

Thank you to his many friends who called him, visited him, and brought him things to eat when he was no longer able to be independent. Thank you to the entire staff at Providence Assisted Living, who was so kind and caring.
