Betty Ann  Thompson, daughter of the late Jess Stacy and Jewel Irene (Ferguson) Stacy was born January 13, 1947 in Hayti, Missouri and departed this life on January 11, 2022 at the age of 74 years, 11 months and 29 days.

Survivors include:

Father of children: Gene Thompson of Houston, Missouri

Three sons: Louis Thompson of Kennett, Missouri

Duane (Leslie) Thompson of Hickory, North Carolina

David Thompson of Kennett, Missouri

Daughter: April (Cheston) Holder of Gallatin, Tennessee

Three grandchildren: Kate, Chase and Peyton

Sister: Mary Frost of Kennett, Missouri

Luna- the grand pup.

Other relatives and many friends.

Betty was preceded in death by her brother: Jesse Stacy.

Betty worked for the Daily Dunklin Democrat for 30 years.

Betty passed away January 11, 2022 at Pemiscot County Hospital.

Visitation will be 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at the McDaniel Funeral Service in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 14, 2022 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Missouri. Jerry "Pug" Carnett and Phillip Bartholomew officiating. Burial will follow in Stanfield Cemetery in Clarkton, Missouri. Family will serve as pallbearers.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett, Missouri will be in charge of the arrangements.
