Obituary

Betty Jean Moore, daughter of the late Clinton "Shorty" Shipman and Josephine (Robinson) Shipman was born March 23. 1930 in White Oak, Missouri and departed this life on  April 27, 2021 at the age of 91 years, 1 month and 4 days.

Survivors include:

One son: Ronnie Moore of Wappapello, Missouri

Three daughters: Nancy (William "Red") Stonecipher of Portageville, Missouri

Tammy (Tommy) McCoin of Campbell, Missouri

Marita Hanners and friend Scott Wilson of Kennett, Missouri

Eight grandchildren: Laura Moore -Ballwin, Missouri, Cindy (Sammy) Herring-Bellefontaine Neighbors, Missouri, Kelly, Kelly-Florence, Missouri, Jerrod (Hollie) Stonecipher-Jonesboro, Arkansas, Amy (Daniel) Stonecipher Roberts - Hayward, Missouri, Tucker Hanners- Kennett, Missouri, Catelynn Moore-Wappapello, Missouri, Nikki (Michael) Stokley-Kennett, Missouri

Twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren

other relatives and friends.

Betty attended Holcomb School graduating in 1948. She married her high school sweetheart Bob Moore on August 17, 1948. He preceded her in death in February 1977. She worked various jobs throughout her lifetime and was given a plaque from the GreenThumb Program for being their oldest working employee. She retired  at the age of 75 only due to health reasons. She loved shopping with her daughters especially looking for Flea Market Finds. Her main love of life was spending time and holiday get-to-gethers with the family.

Betty was preceded in death by her son: Bobby Don Moore and two brothers and sisters-in-law J.V. (Loraine)Shipman and Donald (Nina) Shipman and niece: Gwendolyn Shipman Deberry.

Graveside Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, April 30, 2021 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri, friends and family are welcome to attend. Reverend Jared Hancock officiating. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Daniel Roberts, Jerrod Stonecipher,Hayden Roberts, Owen Roberts, Tucker Hanners and Scotty Wlson.

Memorials may be made to the American Ahzheimers Association.

The familly wishes to extend our sincere Thanks and Graditude to the Nurses and Staff of General Baptist Nursing Home and VNA Hosice.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett, Missouri will be in charge of the arrangements.
