Betty Deloris Downing, daughter of the late James Titus Allison and Mary Alice Grooms Allison, was born April 3, 1928 in Senath Missouri. She married Clyde L. Downing on October 29, 1954 in Bragg City, Missouri.

Betty is survived by her nieces and nephews: Children of Lottie: Ursula L. Clark, Earl Williams, Jr., and James D. Ray. Children of Willodean: Marlas B.Greiger and Daniel C. Krause, Children of brother Ed: Oleta Leggett and James Edward Allison, Jr., Children of brother Earnest: Nancy Crandell Pearn, and Perry J. Allison, Douglas K. Allison.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clyde Downing, two brothers: James Edward Allison and Earnest Alford Allison: two sisters: Lottie Lorean Allison Compton Williams and Rosa Willodean Allison Krause; four nieces: Alice P. Compton Nelson, daughter of sister Lottie; Maureen M. Finos, daughter of sister Rosa Willodean; Randi L. Allison, daughter of brother Earnest, and Margo Allison, daughter of brother Ed; and one nephew: Dennis N. Allison, son of brother Earnest.

Betty passed away May 21, 2021 at Heritage Nursing Center in Kennett, Missouri. Betty was a member of First Baptist Church of Bragg City and served as a Sunday School teacher for many years. After moving to Kennett she became a member of the Third Street Baptist Church in Kennett, Missouri.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett, Missouri. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Missouri. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett, Missouri. Reverend Bud Evans officiating. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Earl Williams, Jim Ray, Mike Downing, Larry Chailland, Cam Wake and Tom Duncan.
