Betty J. Branum, daughter of the late Iley Averett and Ruth (Presley) Averett, was born December 27, 1932, in Sardis, Tennessee and departed this life at Delta South Skilled Nursing & Rehab in Sikeston, Missouri on September 6, 2025, at the age of 92 years, 8 months and 10 days.   Betty married Tommy Branum who preceded her in death.

Ethan Markham of Sikeston, MO

Kenzie Owen of Sikeston, MO

Justice (Jalen) Brown of Millersville, MO

Great-great grandchildren: Aleah, Elias, and Lyrah Brown of Millersville, MO

Betty was preceded in death by  her brother: Max Ray Averett and two sisters: Geneva Tidwell and Bobbie Fogg.

Visitation will be 10:00 am to 12:00 noon Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett.  Funeral Services will be 12:00 noon at the McDaniel Chapel with Pastor Steven Scherer officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Kennett.
