Arletta Ruth Joiner, daughter of the late Burlie Monroe Elliott and Anna Lee Remmer Elliott, was born May 29, 1938, in Kennett, Missouri and departed this life on September 2, 2026 at the age of 88 years, 3 months and 4 days. 

Survivors include:

Three sons: Leland Justin (Jerris)  Stark of Kennett

David (Lapeta) Stark of Kennett

Brian Joiner of Kennett

Three daughters: Brenda Stark and Kathy Stark both of Kennett and Angela Shawn Joiner  of Epley

Three sisters; Shirley Shelton and Georga Smith of Kennett  and Elaine Cossey

Granddaughters: Kimberly Goodman and Madison

Other relatives and friends

Arletta was preceded in death by her daughter Leanne Norman and sister: Marie Gardner.

Visitation will be 9:00 am to 11:00 am Tuesday, September 8, 2026 at McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 11:00 am at the McDaniel Chapel in Kennett. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens in Kennett. Honored to serve as pallbearers:  Brian Joiner, David Stark, Jeff Epley, Gregg Goodman, Angel Stark and Zack Rouse

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
