Bagby
October 27, 1925 – March 9, 2025
Alice Maye (Meacham) Bagby, 99, of Arbyrd, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025. She was born on October 27, 1925 in Monette, Arkansas, to James and Ethel Meacham.
On December 15, 1945, Alice married the love of her life, Charles Albert Bagby and together they built a beautiful life on their beloved farm. They shared 70 wonderful years of marriage before his passing on April 3, 2016. Alice found joy in the simple pleasures of farm life - tending to her garden, canning homemade strawberry jam, and cheering on her beloved St. Louis Cardinals.
Alice was one of nine siblings and was preceded in death by: James (Nell) Meacham, Cyril (Madge) Meacham, JT Meacham, Lloyd Meacham, Elizabeth (Emery Joe) Fox, Regina (Ralph) New, Amelda (Ishmael) Parker, her twin sister Eva (Sam) Wright.
She is survived by her two daughters, who were the pride of her life:
Alice Ann (Ron) Howell of East Prairie, MO.
Carol (Dennis) Gonzalez of Dallas, TX.
Alice was a devoted grandmother to her cherished grandchildren: Reid Howell, Neil (Angela) Howell, Andrea (Eddie) Sanders, Aaron Gonzalez and Stefan Gonzalez (Katie Kidd).
Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Ashlyn Howell, Mikaela Howell (Leighton Colby), Matthew (Courtney) Howell, Evan Howell, Madelyn (Nick) Rexilius, Ally Johnson, Clara Howell, Isabella Sisk Gonzalez and Lance Sanders.
And her love lives on in her great-great-grandchildren: Lily West, Evan Turner, Jayna Turner, Eris Howell and Warren Colby.
Alice's warmth, resilience, and love for family will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. A life well-lived, full of love, hard work, and treasured moments, her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
Services for Alice will be held at McDaniel Funeral Home in Senath, Missouri, on Thursday, March 13. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will take place at Lulu Cemetery in Senath, Missouri.
Honored to serve as pallbearers: Ron Howell, Reid Howell, Neil Howell, Stefan Gonzalez, Eddie Sanders, Phillip Rorer, and Aaron Gonzalez.
