Ada Jean Kirby, age 93, of Kennett, Missouri passed away, August 19, 2026, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO.

Ada Jean was born in Kennett on June 24, 1933, to the late Benjamin Smith and Bessie Moore Smith.

  Ada married John William Kirby who preceded her in death.

Survivors are: Son: Raymond Lee Sellers, Jr. of Silva, MO

Brother: Harold Smith of Charleston, South Carolina 

Seven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren

Ada was preceded in death by her son: John Keith Kirby, daughter: Gayla Jean Kirby, brothers: Benny, Douglas, Gary, Freddy and Charles  Smith and sister: Barbara Fox.

Visitation will be 11:00 am to 12:00 noon  Monday, August 24, 2026 at the McDaniel Funeral Home in Kennett. Funeral Services will be 12:00 noon Monday, at McDaniel Chapel in Kennett, Rev. Johnny Bogle officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Kennett. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Gaylon Hodges, Brian Kirby, Boyd Hamilton, Riley Hodges, Dawson Kirby and Aiden Norris

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett will be in charge of the arrangements.
