Josephine "Jo" Blankenship Langdon, daughter of the late John Henry Vailes and Mary Emily (Smith) Vailes was born September 23, 1924 in Humboldt, Tennessee and departed this life on September 6, 2017 at the age of 92 years. Josephine married Carl Blankenship who preceded her in death. Later she married Jean Langdon who preceded her in death.

Survivors include:

Three sons: Danny and Alice Blankenship of Mt. Home, Arkansas

Randy and Dana Blankenship of Cardwell, Missouri

Gary and Martha Blankenship of Paragould, Arkansas

One daughter: Kay and Ken Elliott of Paragould, Arkansas

Two Stepsons: Glenn and Laurie Langdon of New Orleans, Louisiana

Keith Langdon of Florida

Eight grandchildren: Kyle and Staci Blankenship , Kurt and Carrie Blankenship, Shaun Elliott, Tim and Jennifer Blankenship, Patrick and Mary Blankenship, Kelli and Matt Lynch, Holly and Josh Small and Katie and Jeff Brown.

Fourteen great grandchildren: Gunner Pilgrim, Trevor Blankenship, Shelby Blankenship, Laney Blankenship, Ella, Olivia and Ryan Blankenship, Karis, Eden and Asher Blankenship, Eva, Emery and Bladen Blankenship and Finn Lynch.

Best Friends: Pat Vaughn and Ethel Noles

Other relatives and many friends.

Josephine was preceded in death by one brother: Samuel Vailes and two sisters: Willie Dempsey and Ruby Sharpmack.

Josephine was of Paragould, Arkansas and passed away September 6, 2017 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Josephine was a member of the Forest Grove Baptist Church.

Visitation will be 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM Saturday, September 9, 2017 at the Forest Grove Baptist Church in Cardwell, Missouri. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 PM Saturday at the Forest Grove Baptist Church in Cardwell, Missouri. Reverend Todd Milburn officiating. Burial will follow in Horner Cemetery in Hornersville, Missouri. Honored to serve as pallbearers: Kyle Blankenship, Shaun Elliott, Tim Blankenship, Patrick Blankenship, Matt Lynch, Josh Small and Jeff Brown. Honorary pallbearers: Kurt Blankenship,  Mitchell Latting, Doug Kemmett and Matt Thomas.

Memorials may be made to Forest Grove Baptist Church or the Horner Cemetery.

McDaniel Funeral service of Kennett, Missouri will be in charge of the arrangements.
